How will you close 2004?
Oh, foolish one, who has bewitched you,
that you should believe The Lie?
You have been told; Your ears have heard:
Jesus Christ was crucified...
and gave you His Spirit to overcome,
just like He promised, and made you His son;
For, in God’s sight, you’re not justified,
if your action continues to deny,
that no thing can stand; no thing can resist:
The Love of His Son, that accomplished this!
There is no power in my life, you say;
Get specific; The power to do what?
To keep on walking with you being Lord?
Is it time to give your way up?
Have you come to conclusions:
That sea is too deep;
The Tsunami wave, you just can’t defeat?
Survival mode for you, just will not
make it;
It’s time to decide; Sink or Swim;
You can’t fake it.
When tragedy comes,
will you allow it to stay;
Or, demand your rights in Jesus today?
There’s always an option, so you can survive;
Ask yourself: Is this way that I’m walking a compromise?
Is my life or my choices, ending
Two Thousand and Four,
any different than they were
the year before?
Has my thinking been altered
since Two Thousand and Three?
Or, is everything worse than it use to be?
Has there been, in fact, righteous indignation,
at deceptions subtlety?
Or, has compromise led you down it’s road...
that, once bright eyes, cannot see?
I don’t know; Can you survive
any more of this
in Two Thousand and Five?
Can you see that?
That road’s already cursed;
Can you see, walking that way,
will only get worse?
Faith still works;
But, only by His Love;
Well, what is faith, anyway?
Ask Him that question,
and let me know,
all that He has to say...
For, it’s only Him, now that can persuade you;
A powerful step in His plan,
Then, only you can really decide...
If you’ll place your life in His hands.
I hope that you will
because, We both know your value
and, in this life, I do so want to see:
The Lie under our feet with Jesus victory.
