GOD’S CHILDREN OF PROMISED INHERITANCE
“Only the children of promise are counted as God’s Seed”...
and, in the same way, The Gentiles must believe.
Why only those? Because they will respond to...
all things of Life freely given to do.
A new creation will make up His Nation;
Living, expecting with anticipation...
that God, thru His Son will freely give;
How could He not, in that Jesus still lives?
He always is and then He came;
Omnipresent in me, to respond to His Name;
The First Advent, we’re familiar with;
In ‘that’ persuasion, The Second can exist.
Seemingly foolish to hold up a snake...
and on a brazen pole, for heaven sake!!
Or, take a coin from a fish’s mouth...
to pay His taxes; What’s that about?
Nevertheless, His creation responded,
and immediately, it served...
The One who came to set it free;
That kind of faith only, honors His Majesty.
Soon, the next Advent will come back thru That Door;
Will He find all things as they were before?
“More than a conqueror...” was His Decree;
Will He find that belief existing in me...
Or will He find logic again on The Throne...
with high-minded children involved in their own...
years of information for self-centered well being?
Is that what His second return will be seeing?
You know the parable and I know it too:
The King returned only just to find you...
making excuses with what He left to invest;
Storing up to retire; Calling that His Rest!
The Holy Spirit, through the mouth of Paul,
besought, yes, begged we would present all...
as an offering that lives: Holy and acceptable...
by the mercies of God, which is reasonable;
Reasonable because His Son made us clean;
Reasonable because we’re a new humane being!
Leaving the system that to once, we were conformed...
by reminding ourselves that we are being transformed...
and counter each challenge that says otherwise;
Thus, proving that God does not compromise...
and will bring to perfection what Jesus already did;
With The Life of Him, you shall surely live!
I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God,
that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable
unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed
by the renewing of your mind that ye may prove what is that good,
and acceptable, and perfect will of God. (Ro.12: 1&2)
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all,
how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? (Ro.8: 32)
For Christ is the end (completion) of the law for righteousness to
everyone that believeth. (Ro.10: 4)
So, Lord, help us not to be stiff-necked...
in all that Your Eyes are seeing;
That we may prove and never doubt
the value of Your human beings;
In deeds we’re tenacious, but to “know”, not just “feel”
will supercede all religious zeal;
It’s that confidence that you said will win:
The valued ones that value Him.
What do I win? What is the prize?
Knowing I’m not here...just to survive...
But, rather, to be (and excitedly)...
the “better things” that’s been assigned to me!
And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise.
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us
should not be made perfect. (Ro.11: 39&40)
