BEAUTY’S BEAST
Because you’re created
in His own image,
doesn’t mean that you still can’t lose.
That linage contained, obviously,
our God given right to choose.
So long ago, in Eternity Past,
God formed from the Earth,
a man;
Man deeming that ‘Beauty’
should have it’s way,
chose not to listen to what
God had to say.
He saw all of God’s ability;
I suspect, experienced it too;
But he wanted to rule as a king
on this Earth,
and do what he wanted to do.
So, you see, of course, the necessity
of Jesus, the man, in our destiny.
Just being ‘formed’,
we still remain clay;
Never hearing our Creator
and we live Adam’s way.
This problem exists in most,
even today;
with religious form’s rules
and demands;
It isn’t, they really don’t want
to please God;
They just don’t think that
they can.
With knowledge we can
clean up our own act;
But are we lacking in power
when ‘Beauty’ attacks...
‘Beauty’, being our own Earthly plan,
completely ignoring Jesus, the man.
Were you serving ‘Beauty’
and goodness instead?
Which makes you lord;
While Jesus stays dead.
Did ‘Beauty’ protect you
from pain and decay?
Or did it demand
to have it’s own way?
Could it ever really be satisfied?
Or did it keep you measuring up to pride?
And when you were in pain,
did it choose to hide?
The only need that it ever met,
was self-gratification,
so that it could get...
all of it’s ravenous
ways justified;
And keep you in bondage
to it’s self-centered pride.
This ‘Beauty’ will keep you
blind and deceived,
so that it can live
and on you it will feed...
And keep you from knowing
that thru Jesus, The Son;
You were being prepared
to walk as One.
When you’re alone and afraid;
And you call out to God, perhaps, even begin to plead,
Has He let you know, even indirectly,
that He’s trying to meet all your needs?
Was ‘Beauty’ hiding
outside the door;
So that he could take you
and demand even more...
While Jesus is waiting
and praying you’ll choose...
A life with Him
and never be used;
To satisfy demonic demands,
but, rather:
Be blessed from His
capable hands?
But that would cost me
emotional pleasure,
and rejection, at the very least!
Well, why don’t you ask Him
and let Him reveal:
That this ‘Beauty” is really
‘The Beast’!!!!!
