Deferred Payment
Hope “deferred” makes the heart grow sick;
You noticed, He did not say “destroyed”;
A very good way to relate to this:
Deferred Payment for the un-employed.
But, in this case, it’s payment God counts,
that our un-belief interrupted;
To not let Him complete, His Promise to us,
makes us labor to be corrupted!
THE PROMISE: SURE BLESSINGS THAT MULTIPLY ;
That are visibly noticed and can’t be denied.
Alright then, How do I change un-belief;
Actually putting myself on “relief”?
To this point, I’m only “socially secure”;
(which always leaves you needing more);
For my confidence to be fixed in society,
is a sure way to enter “High Anxiety”!
The wealth of the wicked is laid up in store,
for the righteous, is clearly stated;
Almost, before I could finish that sentence,
your mind has been navigated...
to justify that it’s by your efforts;
Yet, that has produced thoughts in you:
Why, in this World, do I need God,
if this is something that I have to do?
We make so weak, all His promises,
because we do not trust Him,
as much as us!
Not a weak statement: I will bless you;
And not only that: I will multiply too!
This should put an end to all foolish debate;
When He stated, it’s something that He’s put into place,
And that: “Surely”, His Oath’s heirs should contemplate.
Well, is this what you really anticipate?
Or, is it: “I’ll do this myself......Just in case.”
You know very well that this is true;
Has your soul been “anchored “ to believe in “you”?
Are “you” your own refuge? (I hope there’s no storms);
How can “you” stand steadfast when working’s so worn...
that precious body, not planned for decay;
Lord, help us believe and trust Your way;
I don’t want to stay inside of a boat
that’s heading downstream to the “falls”;
I want to get out; find what living’s about
and obtain, as Your heir, absolutely no doubt!

Thank-you, Lord, I appreciate this;
The way You come quickly to my assist
and open Your Word to search me out;
So I can make choices to eliminate doubt.
